In a rush-hour collision, a 21-year-old motorcyclist is thrown headfirst from his bike. His helmet comes off in the impact, and critical care paramedic Pete and the Midlands Air Ambulance trauma team are despatched to give life-saving treatment.

6. Episode 6

A van collides with an articulated lorry on the M6 in Wolverhampton, a man is found unconscious and lying in a hedgerow, and there are multiple reports of someone armed with a knife rampaging through the streets of Birmingham.

7. Episode 7

A woman thrown from her car needs help for her and her friends still trapped in the wreck. A pair of paramedics treat a heart attack but may be too late.

Critical care paramedic Fay Pollock is dispatched to a serious motorbike crash where a rider was thrown 15 feet by a collision with a car, breaking the largest bone in his body

A driver is trapped in his car after it careered out of control, smashing into a wall before flipping sideways. Dr Polly Haywood and critical care practitioner Sarah Folley are dispatched to the scene.

There are reports of a double stabbing and after a car crash a man is trapped under a bus. In Birmingham city centre a man has been punched in a fight and is fighting for his life.

The ambulance crews must respond to a builder, who has fallen from a great height while working in a derelict farm building, and a car wash employee who has been stabbed dangerously close to their liver.

In Birmingham, a man is stabbed several times at a residential address after getting into an argument with somebody. Also, 64-year-old Indra had been sitting on the sofa when she began experiencing what appeared to be a fit.

Critical care paramedics Ryan Ferris and Grant Salsby are called to the scene of a workplace accident. meanwhile, in Dudley, 18-year-old Beth has been run over by a car, and a man is stabbed in Birmingham.

An HGV crashes into a railway bridge on the M6 motorway, and 67-year-old retired security guard Denis has been stabbed multiple times in the head, chest and arm by someone he knows.

16. Episode 16

A 62-year-old finance broker fights for his life after he suffers a cardiac arrest while out jogging. A 32-year-old labourer is stabbed in the neck and abdomen outside his home.

A pair of men who work at a hazardous waste disposal business are injured after an explosion rocks the premises, and a street fight ends with two wounded.
