47. Gwilym: Part 1 (1977)

The summer heat and multiplying guests are problems at Larkfield Manor. First, Elizabeth is ill-prepared for the arrival of Victoria, Phyllis, and Charles. Then, a letter from Arthur announcing his arrival that evening further complicates Mrs. Gates' dinner preparation. Handsome Welsh professor Gwilym Meredith-Jones entrances Elizabeth and becomes another unexpected guest. Arthur arrives home to find a singing foreigner in his bath.
